HISTORY OF EMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH, ORILE OSHODI

Emmanuel Baptist Church Orile Oshodi was formally known as Orile Oshodi Baptist Church located atd9, Olusoji Street, Oshodi, took her root from the decision of First Baptist Church, Oshodi. A member of First Baptist Church Oshodi in person of Mr. S. Omidiji who was living at 10, Adeogun Street, Orile saw the need for establishing a Baptist Church at Orile Oshodi and he quickly informed his Landlord Pa. M. O. Oke (now late) who was also a member of first Baptist church oshodi.

The inaugural service started at Pa. M. O. Oke’s shop free of charge on 15th day of August 1976 and the service was conducted by Pastor M. A. Daniyan of First Baptist Church Oshodi. The first set of worshippers on that day was one hundred and seventeen (117) members in the morning including missionaries sent from F.B.C. Oshodi. In the evening we had a record of fifty five (55) worshipers.

After six years of worship in Pa Oke’s shop the church moved to her present location. The church was organised on Saturday 28th November, 1992.


OUT-REACH AND REVIVAL SERVICES

Outreach and revival services are regular features in our church calender and are held on quartely basis. The Lord’s supper also holds at appropriate times in the church. EVANGELISM MISSION

The church since her inception had taken evangelism as her watch word and as her primary objectives. Towards the end we have laboured on a number of preaching station v 12:

First Baptist church above Iroko founded 1988 and was organised Nov., 27th 2004.

Strong tower Baptist Church, Iyana Ilogbo founded 2003 and was organised Salem Baptist Church, Ijoko still a preaching station

      GOD’S MINISTRY

      God has always been in our midst and has regularly been to refing the young ones in our church. Many of our young men have been called into full gospel ministry. Some of them have been trained and are Pastors of local churches Among them are:-
