About Church

To God be the glory for the grace of God that is abundantly available to the Church of God. We need to express our gratitude to our eternal father who has proved this Church Salem Baptist Church Situated in Oyero – titun , Egan Ijoko. Through the then Orile Oshodi Baptist Church, now Emmanuel Baptist Church Oshodi, led by the servant Rev. E.O. Areo, by the Intervention of the Holy spirit, Rev. E. O. Areo decided to discuss the issue with the Church executive that, this is the time to go and plant another Church in Oyero titun Ogun – State, through Oyerinde Family and the Church executive agreed together to move ahead for the proper gating of the Gospel.

The Church of God Salem Baptist Church, started in September 2008. We fully appreciated Oyerinde Family and the proprietress of “LIGHT OF HOPE” Nursery and Primary School, where we used as Worshiped Center then, to God be the Glory.

Once again we give thanks to the head of the Church, Jesus Christ Himself who has provided Salem Baptist Church with good leadership. We equally appreciate the following individuals; they have been wonderful, they contributed tremendously.

They are: Evangelist F. O. Ilori, Mr Oni, Pastor M. O. Akinbande who was a Student Pastor then, Bro. Bisi Babalola and Bro. Matthew Okanlawon, these people were wonderful, since the existence of Salem Baptist Church.

We pray that they will be richly bless and they will be reward by God, who alone is able to reward their labour of love.

 In year 2010 God provided a plot of land for us through Emmanuel Baptist Church and members of Salem Baptist Church, by the grace of God Service Commenced on 3rd of October 2010, On that faithful day we worshipped under the tree for some weeks, but today we are Worshiping in temporary tent.

 1st of July 2011, Orile Oshodi Baptist Church then, now Emmanuel Baptist Church Oshodi extended Letter of Call to Pastor M. O. Akinbande then, now Rev’d M. O. Akinbande to be the pioneer undershepherd of Salem Baptist Church Egan Ijoko , Ogun State and Rev. M O. Akinbande has been the Church Pastor up till date, to God be the Glory.

The first Launching for the Church Building came up on the 1 st of April 2012, foundation of the Church building was laid on 26th of May 2012 and Church building project is going on gradually, Glory be to God. Inauguration of Women Missionary Union of Salem Baptist Church came up on 12th of May 2013 and first choir Anniversary came up on 9th of November 2014 under the Chairmanship of Mr & Mrs Winful.

Today, we value all that God has accomplished so far in Salem Baptist Church, His grace provided everything we see today. Keeping this Church to this level we owe God a lot of gratitude, to God be the Glory: May the unending Grace, Love and Mercy Continue to be our abiding portion as we move on in pursuit of the fulfillment of the God. given Vision.
