INTRODUCTION

Irepodun Baptist Association was established in 1990. Upon the establishment, the treasury office and finance committee were created with the following offices, Treasurer, (as the chairman, Finance committee), Financial Secretary, (as the secretary, finance committee) and the Auditor. All the Treasury officers served on a part time basis.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The department has been saddled with the responsibilities of financing the Association’s Evangelism projects both at the Home and Foreign Mission Fields, preparations of annual budgets, coordinating the financial request of each sub-committee and department and incorporating same into the Association’s annual budget, suggesting ways of raising funds to meet various programmes of the Association.

SOURCES OF INCOME

The major source of income for the Association is the 5% of money generated (Tithes and offering) and mission offerings from the local churches paid as dues and offerings on monthly basis. Other sources of the Association income are proceeds from investments such as:

  • Shares
  • Product sales
  • Free donations 
  • Occasional special levies.
