INTRODUCTION:

Mission is described as a body doing religious and charitable work in a particular society.

Evangelism is described as preaching of Christian gospel or doing missionary activities in the society.

Mission and Evangelism therefore is the main business of the Association. God establish the body of Christ for mission. He intends that we should function to support the world that he created.

We are sent to tell others the good news of Jesus Christ in the same way the twelve disciples were sent. The association is involved in home and foreign missions.

The department encourages churches within the association to plant churches and to nurture such to full growth.

HOME MISSION:

Abule Teacher Qlomnnisola Mission Field

The association inherited Abulc Teacher Olonmnisola from the defunct Irepodun I & H Association. The mission field is located at Abule Teacher Olorunisola off Attan in Ogun State.

A full time pastor in person of Pastor D. A. Olagbenro was called to the mission field in 1990.

Building of church auditorium started in 1995. The association was fully incharge of the building. The association also arranged and paid for the church pastorium in the suburb. In December 2004 we equipped the pastorium with a television, refrigerator and a stabilizer.

Also in 2006 we made a move to relocated the church to Attan but the church rejected the idea.

5years disengagement plan with the mission field commenced in July 2006. But finally we disengaged in 2008 from the mission field.

DUKAWAMISSION FIELD:

Dukawa Mission Field was initiated by the moderator by then, Rev. S. T. A. Olabode in 2005. Dukawa is located in Kebbi State. The mission coordinators on the mission field at that time were Rev. Adedokun, Demeh and Areo.

The Association was responsible for the payment of the pastors. Rev. Adedokun was later appointed as mission coordinator by the Global mission board but we continued the payment of Rev. Demeh salary until when we disengaged in January 2015. Rev. Demeh resumed there in 2006.

We constructed and built the church auditorium for the mission field. A pastorium was also built for them.

Roofing of the church pastorium was done in July 2008 at Wama. FBC Ijeshatedo bought 3nos pews for them in 2007.

A motor bicycle was purchased for them to ease mission activities. Central Baptist Church, Ebutte Meta also took active part in all mission works there in the payment of pastor’s salary and others.

A seven man visitation team from this association were on the mission field between Nor 30th 3rd December, 2006. They met with Rev. Demeh and Areo.

Donations made to them during the visit were 30 benches for worship, 3 bundles of roofing sheets, 1 bag of rice and fairly used clothes.

A well was dug for them in March, 2007. The Lagos Baptist Conference (LSBC) gave us an award for the mission work done at Dukawa in 2007.

We paid for the ordination of Pastor Demeh in July, 2011. The association finally disengaged in January, 2015.

FOREIGN MISSION: Mali Mission Field:

Our association in partnership with both the global mission board and the conference jointly run and maintain the Mali Mission Field.

The mission field was an initiative of our moderator at that time Rev. S. T. A. Olabode. We joined other bodies to build classrooms and hospital buildings and we were there for seven years.

We bought hymn books apart from sending regular sum of money to the missionaries. The block of classrooms built served as Discipleship Bible College.

We disengaged after seven years of mission activities there.
