INTRODUCTION:

The Youth Fellowship of Irepodun Baptist Association was launched many years back to oversee the physical and spiritual welfare of the youths of the Irepodun Baptist Association. The Irepodun Baptist Youth Fellowship is also an affiliate of the Lagos East Baptist Youth Fellowship of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

VISION BEHIND THE YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

  2. Development of sound leadership skills
  3. For academical progression
  4. Marital excellence
  5. To build a godly relationship among the youths of our great Association, Conference and Convention
  6. For self development

ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR

  1. The Youth Fellowship of this Association has raised great leaders in the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Examples are as follow:
  • The Current Convention President in person of Revd Dr. Supo Ayokunle was once a youth of this Association.
  • The Current Personal Assistant to the Convention President in person of Revd Femi Steve Omoniyi was once a Youth of this Association.
  • Several Youths of this Association are now Pastors and Reverend in different churches across the country and beyond while some are currently in the Seminary working hard to be of use to.God.

This Association as produced many great leaders that occupy great positions in both the political, economical and spiritual platform of this nation. Examples: Honourable Silas Okunlola (Oyo State House of Assembly) etc.

Good numbers of our youths are serving Deacon and Deaconesses in their various churches, while many are strong leaders in their churches.

 The Youth Fellowship is serving as an Incubator for building and production of sound future leaders.

  • 2002 to 2007: Bro Biodun Adejumobi (Now Pastor-in -training at The NBC Seminary, Ogbomosho) FBC Oshodi
  • 2008 to 2009: Bro Thomas Akande- FBC Mafoluku
  • 2010 to 2015: Dn Okelola Bamidele – FBC Sogunle
  • 2016 to date: Bro. Adeola Oladipupo  –  FBC Ijeshatedo

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR US

  1. We are waiting upon God to raise financial pillars for the church through the Youths
  2. We also trust God to build us an abiding matrimonial homes that have Christ as the centre stone
  3. To be properly groomed and trained to spread the gospel of the kingdom of Christ.
  4. To be model Chri stian and exemplary Youths
  5. Trusting God to make mantle bearers out of us, as wc prepare ourselves to take over from our aging and godly Fathers. E o kowa jepe ooo.Amin.
